Tamette Farrington

Tamette Farrington, who has been a child of God for over two decades, embraces her faith as the guiding light in her life's journey. As a mother to her precious blessings, Tiberius (10) and Tahira (9), she's instilling the same values of love and faith in her young ones, shaping them into future pillars of their community.
Though her children have Georgia roots, Tamette's heart belongs to her native Durham, North Carolina, where her unwavering love for the community shines. She is a fervent believer in the power of connections and eagerly looks forward to meeting new people, making lasting friendships, and engaging with her community.
Tamette actively contributes to the spiritual growth of the congregation by serving as a devoted Sunday School teacher. Under the guidance of Brother Orlander Thomas, her dedication to the children's ministry serves as a source of inspiration for many.
In her moments of quiet reflection, Tamette draws strength and inspiration from her cherished passages in the Bible. Currently, she finds solace in Psalm 27:1, which beautifully reminds her, "The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid?"
Beyond her spiritual journey, Tamette finds joy and fulfillment in nurturing her garden, where she witnesses the miracle of growth and life.
