Jesus 0 to 12 years old: Episode 2
o Angel appears to Mary-Luke 1:25
- Mary was a virgin who was betrothed to Joseph
- Mary found favor with God
- The timing of God was right on time in Mary carrying Him
- Mary was impregnated by the Holy Spirit
- God needed Mary in her most purest form
o Birth of Jesus-Matthew
- Jesus is born in a manger in Bethlehem
- Mary and Joseph found no lodging and he was born in an unconventional way
- Jesus was born into controversy
o Visit of the Magi
- The Magi (astrologers) seek the Messiah
- They go to Herod and ask where the King of the Jews would be born
- Herod tells them to go search for the child and come back and tell him
- The Magi go and find the baby and worship Jesus
- They opened their treasure chests and gave him gifts of gold
o Flight into Egypt
- An Angel comes to Joseph tells him to flee to Egypt
- Joseph takes Mary and baby Jesus to Egypt because Herod was trying to kill Him
o 12-year-old Jesus in Jerusalem-Luke 2:41-52
- Jesus stay in Jerusalem to speak to the teachers
- Jesus stays back to learn and grow in wisdom while speaking to the teaches
- How do we leave Jesus behind when we come from worship service
- Jesus was about his Father's business
The way to salvation:
- Hear: Romans 10:17
- Believe: Hebrews 11:6
- Repent: Acts 17:30-31
- Confess: Matthew 10:32
- Be Baptized: Mark 16:15-16
- Be faithful unto death: Revelation 2:10
