  • Rachel is chosen
    • Jacob work for Rachel 7 years
    • She is deeply loved
  • Leah gets married to Jacob instead of Rachel
    • Leah knowingly goes into Jacob after the wedding party
    • Leah and Laban trick Jacob into marrying her
  • Leah is seen by God and He open her womb
    • Reuben (Look a son; he has seen my misery)
    • Simeon (one who hears)
    • Levi (being attached or feeling affection for)
    • Judah (praise)
    • Leah understood that God is the one who truly loved her
  • Rachel is barren and begs Jacob for children
    • Rachel never looked to God for children, but she went to her husband
    • She is rebuked by her husband and sends her to God
    • Rachel gives Bilhah to Jacob to have children on her behalf

  • Confess: Matthew 10:32
  • Be Baptized: Mark 16:15-16
  • Be faithful unto death: Revelation 2:10
