- Growing up in the body
- Alvin is a preacher's kid who was baptized at the age of 9
- He was baptized rebaptized in 2015
- He did not understand commitment to giving his life to Christ
- Walking in the shadow of his father
- Alvin was trying to imitate his father’s walk because he came from the streets
- He did was not privy to the streets but he wanted to have a story
- He wanted to be effective in his Christian journey
- He began sharing scripture on the streets
- Alvin began looking like everyone else
- He wanted people to know he was not soft
- Alvin got sucked in with the crowd
- He began going to jail and get into toxic relationships
- Recommitment to Christ
- He was 24 when he recommitted his life to Christ
- Alvin had to get alone in order to hear from the Lord

- Hear: Romans 10:17
- Believe: Hebrews 11:6
- Repent: Acts 17:30-31
- Confess: Matthew 10:32
- Be Baptized: Mark 16:15-16
- Be faithful unto death: Revelation 2:10
