040. Being True to God and Self
What does having a call on your life look like? The simple answer to this question is to follow our discussion with Amanda Gaudin. Amanda is a young adult who decided to step out on faith and trust the Lord’s leadership in her life.
- Growing up in the body
- Amanda obeyed the gospel when she was in the 5th grade
 - She obeyed the gospel because she saw her mom obey the gospel
 - She knew she did the right thing for the wrong reason
 - Amanda attended a Christian college learned the word for herself
 
 - The tug of war in her Spirit
- She was baptized at the New Golden Heights Church of Christ under the leadership of Dr. W. F. Washington
 - She heard Doc preach about going to hell but she was following her mother’s direction
 - She was going through the tug of war with herself trying to stay true to the word
 
 - Taking her walk seriously
- Amanda struggled in middle school because she still wanted to be with the in-crowd
 - When she made it to high school she brought friends to the Lord and took her walk more seriously
 - She did not compromise her virtues while in high school
 
 - Going to a Christian College tested her faith
- She learned a lot as a Christian and in her humanity
 - Amanda had those moments when she struggled with staying on track
 - She was transformed through her journey while on the college
 - Amanda experimented with weed smoking and drinking
 - She stayed true to herself and remained a virgin

 - Believe: Hebrews 11:6
 - Repent: Acts 17:30-31
 - Confess: Matthew 10:32
 - Be Baptized: Mark 16:15-16
 - Be faithful unto death: Revelation 2:10
